Born and raised in Pakistan, Dr Wardah completed her bachelors from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIKI) in 2010. Later she moved to the USA in 2012, where she completed her Masters in Electrical engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), went to Harvard Business School for a year for select courses and then completed her PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. She has corporate experience in GE and Apple and is the recipient of the MIT Graduate Women of Excellence Award. She is the Co-founder of U-link technologies, where they developed the first AI-driven operating systems of an autonomous and fully-distributed micro grid. She then co-founded and is the CEO of the company Overjet. Her ground-breaking research in the use of Artificial Intelligence in dental imaging has taken the dental world by storm. The company name and Dr Wardah Inam have been featured in Forbes and TechCrunch. Overjet is pioneering Artificial Intelligence-Driven Dentistry. Her company was founded by PhDs from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and dentists from Harvard School of Dental Medicine and incubated at the Harvard Innovation Labs. The team of Overjet is dedicated to solving the most challenging problems in dentistry to improve care for millions of patients.

Dr Mohammad Ahmad Javaid graduated from the University of Health Sciences Lahore, Pakistan in 2009. Following graduation, he moved to Canada to study for a Master’s in Dental Sciences from the McGill University, Canada. After completing his graduate studies, Dr Javaid then enrolled in Diploma in Periodontics, a three-year clinical residency program with a focus on advanced surgical techniques in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry, at The University of British Columbia, Canada. Simultaneously, he also started his second Master’s in Craniofacial Sciences at The University of British Columbia. He also cleared the Fellowship of Royal College of Dentist Canada (RCDC) Exam in Periodontics and is a Fellow Elect with the RCDC. Dr Javaid has published numerous international articles and has peer-reviewed international journals and has contributed to multiple book chapters in internationally published books in the field of periodontics and implant dentistry. ISLAMABAD: Dr Kamran Vasfy was honoured with Sitara-e-Imtiaz in recognition of his services rendered to dentistry in Pakistan. The prestigious civil award was conferred by the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Dr Arif Alvi, in the ceremony held at President House. The ceremony was originally scheduled on March 23, 2020, but it had to be postponed due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic.
After completing BDS from de’ Montmorency College of Dentistry, Lahore in 1979, Prof Dr Arshad Malik served as Principal of Dental Section and Head of Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad and Sahara Medical College, Narowal. Dr Arshad has an experience of more than 26 years of teaching. He has been examiner of many dental colleges in Pakistan including College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan, University of Health Sciences Lahore, Punjab University, Ghandhara University, Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences. He has also been elected as President emeritus of Central council, Pakistan Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and President of Pakistan Dental Association, Chakwal in 2018. Currently, Prof. Dr Arshad is the Principal and Dean of HBS Dental College, Islamabad. He is also Regent and Fellow of International College of Dentists (ICD) Section XV (Region 24) Afghanistan, Pakistan. He is a regular presenter in many international conferences with special reference to ICD as invited speaker.
