BUHSC students shine at Dental Innovate Badar Health Care Expo 2024

KARACHI: Bahria University Dental College (BUHSC) showcased their talents and skills at the Dental Innovate Badar Health Care Expo and Conference held recently at the Expo Centre Karachi.

The event provided a platform for students to compete and collaborate, highlighting their expertise in various fields of dental and health sciences.

Dr. Muhammad Arqam Najmi, Assistant Professor of Dental Materials, BUHSC focal person was also a member of the jury for poster presentations, alongside Dr. Mohsin Haider and Dr. Waqar Raza. Dr. Najmi supervised BUHSC students in multiple segments, including E-poster competitions, table clinics, research presentations, quiz competitions, short films, and reels.

BUHSC secured second place in the Dental Quiz Competition, featuring 16 teams from various colleges. The BUHSC team comprised Dr. Ayeza Baig (House Officer), Sana Hassan (Final Year), and Momina Rasool (Third Year).

The quiz comprised three rounds, testing the participants' knowledge across different dental subjects. The BUHSC team demonstrated outstanding performance and emerged as one of the top scorers.

In addition to the quiz competition, BUHSC students excelled in the table clinic competition. Third-year students Laveeza Kashif, Nabeeha Naqvi, Baynita Khalid, Maham Alam, and Laiba Batool demonstrated their extensive knowledge and practical skills in the table clinic to Chief Guest Rear Admiral Muhammad Saleem HI(M), Commander Karachi (COMKAR), and other panel members, including Surgeon Commodore Muhammad Rafique, Commandant PN Shifa Hospital. Their presentations and practical demonstrations were well received, reflecting the high level of education and training at BUHSC.

The achievements of BUHSC students’ performance was appreciated by Maj. Gen. (R) Prof. Dr. Shehla M. Baqai HI(M), Dean BUHSC, and Prof. Kashif Naqvi, Principal BUDC.

The event highlighted the dedication and hard work of the students and faculty, showing BUHSC's role in nurturing future leaders in the field of health sciences.
