BUHS marks I-Day with patriotic fervor

KARACHI – Bahria University Health Sciences (BUHS) Campus Karachi celebrated Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day with an energetic and heartfelt event, highlighting the spirit of patriotism and unity among students and faculty.

The day began with a dignified flag-hoisting ceremony led by Admiral Ather Mukhtar, Director General of BUHS Karachi Campus, alongside members of the Dental Faculty and students. This solemn start set the tone for a series of lively and inspiring activities organized by various student clubs under the guidance of the Student Support Centre.

The celebrations featured a variety of performances, including stirring national songs, patriotic dramas, and powerful speeches by enthusiastic students, all of which underscored a deep sense of national pride and commitment to the country’s values.

In a touching gesture of community spirit, students from the Community Support Program Club visited the Sirat-ul-Jannah Trust Orphanage, spending quality time with the children and sharing in the Independence Day festivities. This outreach exemplified the university’s dedication to social responsibility and compassion.

The day’s events were further energized by performances from Bahria University Dental students, who showcased their talents through patriotic songs and skits, adding to the festive atmosphere.

The celebration concluded with closing remarks from Admiral Ather Mukhtar, who reflected on the significance of Independence Day and the university’s role in fostering national unity. The event ended with a celebratory cake-cutting ceremony, symbolizing the joy and spirit of the occasion.
