Clinical case contest at Ziauddin Dental College

KARACHI: The Operative Dentistry Department at Ziauddin Dental College recently held a clinical case competition showcasing skills and innovative approaches of final-year students led by HoD Prof Dr Asmat Jameel.

The panel of judges comprised Prof. Dr. Abubaker Sheikh, Head of the Endodontics Department at Fatima Jinnah Dental College, and Dr Maham Lone, Assistant Professor of Operative Dentistry at Jinnah Sindh Medical University.

The event was also attended by Prof. Wahab Buksh Kadri, Principal of Ziauddin Dental College, and faculty members, including Prof. Dr. Hina Ahmed, Dr. Sadaf Ali, Dr. Pooja Balani, Prof. Dr. Sarwat Memon, Dr. Saima Qureshi, Dr. Atif Iqbal, Prof . Dr. Shoaib Khan, Dr. Nazish Fatima, and Dr. Sidra Mohiuddin, who shared their experiences in the field of operative dentistry.

The competition culminated with Rabea Salman securing the first position. Rabika Syed earned the title of the first runner-up, closely followed by Dania Khurram as the second runner-up.

Besides serving as a platform for students to exhibit their clinical acumen, the competition also provided a valuable opportunity for networking and learning from seasoned professionals. The event underscored Ziauddin University's Operative Dentistry Department's commitment to nurturing the next generation of dental practitioners.
