From science to stage: JMDC dental students shine at first dental materials presentation competition

KARACHI: The Department of Dental Materials at Jinnah Medical and Dental College (JMDC) successfully organized its first dental materials presentation competition for second year BDS students, marking an important milestone in academic innovation and student engagement.

The event provided an interactive platform for young dental scholars to translate theoretical knowledge into practical insights while strengthening their presentation and communication skills — essential attributes for future dental professionals.

Under the leadership of Dr. Anjum Tariq, Head of the Department of Dental Materials, the competition served as a bridge between scientific understanding and public speaking confidence.

Each presentation explored different aspects of dental materials science, ranging from the composition and properties of restorative materials to their role in clinical dentistry.
