JMDC celebrates academic and extracurricular achievements of BDS students

KARACHI: Jinnah Medical & Dental College (JMDC) organised a grand success ceremony to honour the outstanding performance of its Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) students in the professional examinations conducted by Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU).

The event recognised the achievements of students from First Year to Final Year and brought together faculty members, students and institutional leaders to celebrate academic excellence and collective accomplishment.

Addressing the gathering, Prof Dr M. Junaid Lakhani, Principal, Dental College, JMDC, congratulated the students on their dedication and perseverance. He also acknowledged the contributions of faculty members, commending their commitment to mentoring and supporting students in achieving high academic standards.

The ceremony was attended by Prof Dr Atif Mehmood, Principal, Medical College, JMDC, and Dr Fadieleh A Sohail, Medical Director, Medicare Hospital, who joined in recognising the achievements of the college community.

As part of the celebrations, each BDS batch participated in a ceremonial cake-cutting session to mark their academic milestones. The event also highlighted achievements beyond academics, with students excelling in sports and inter-college competitions receiving cash awards in recognition of their talent and contributions to campus life.

The ceremony concluded with a reaffirmation of JMDC's commitment to promoting academic excellence, encouraging holistic student development and fostering a culture of achievement in medical and dental education.
