ISLAMABAD: The MDCAT exam that was earlier to be held on Aug 27, will now be conducted on Sept 10, as per an announcement by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).
This decision comes in response to a directive from Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, with a view to provide more convenience to the students aspiring to secure admission in medical colleges.
A circular issued by the PMDC informs all MDCAT 2023 aspirants about the rescheduling, following directions from the Federal Secretary of the Ministry of National Health Service Regulations and Coordination in Islamabad.
The federal government has officially decided to extend and adjust the MDCAT Examination to a new date, specifically the 10th of September 2023.
Initially, the MDCAT test was planned for August 27, as mentioned in a statement from the PM Office. The prime minister's decision to modify the schedule was prompted by students' requests, as the revised date will grant them extra time to adequately prepare for the upcoming examination.
