PESHAWAR:Rehman College of Dentistry will host the International Conference on Health Research 2026 (ICHR-26) in Peshawar from April 17 to 19, 2026, bringing together researchers, clinicians, academicians, and policy experts for a multidisciplinary discussion on translating evidence into healthcare decisions.

Organized as a hybrid CME-accredited conference, the event will revolve around the theme, “From Real World Research to Real World Decisions,” focusing on how applied research can inform patient care, healthcare systems, education, and policy.

The conference is expected to serve as an academic platform for participants from dentistry, medicine, public health, and allied sciences to exchange insights on artificial intelligence, data science, evidence-based practice, healthcare innovation, and translational research.

According to the organizers, the emphasis will remain on decision-oriented research that moves beyond theoretical findings and explores practical applications in clinical protocols, digital health systems, and institutional policy frameworks.

A key development ahead of the conference is the collaboration with Khyber Medical University, which has joined as an official academic partner. The partnership is expected to strengthen the conference’s institutional credibility and expand opportunities for research collaboration, academic networking, and regional policy dialogue within Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s health education landscape.

In the lead-up to the main summit, pre-conference workshops began on April 9 at Rehman Medical Institute and will continue until April 16.

The opening ceremony was attended by CEO Shafique Rehman, Director Research Prof. Dr. Naila Irum Hadi, ICHR Chairman Dr. Naseer Ahmad, Principal Rehman College of Dentistry Prof. Ghulam Rasool, and principals of all RMI colleges.

The workshops were formally inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Naila Irum Hadi, who cut the ribbon to mark the start of the pre-conference academic activities.

These sessions are focused on strengthening participants’ practical research capacity through modules on artificial intelligence, data science, academic writing, and advanced healthcare research methods.

Organizers say the workshops are intended to provide attendees with foundational exposure to contemporary research tools and methodologies before the main conference begins.

With its hybrid format and cross-disciplinary agenda, ICHR-26 is expected to enhance Peshawar’s visibility as an emerging center for healthcare research dialogue and evidence-based academic collaboration in Pakistan.
