KARACHI: Dow Dental College’s Department of Periodontology led a transformative full-day workshop on digital dentistry, empowering clinicians and students to harness cutting-edge technologies for improved patient care and practice efficiency.

Immersive digital dentistry experience

The in-house workshop on 03 May 2025 showcased how digital solutions reshape diagnosis and treatment. Attendees brought their own laptops and practiced in real time with the latest Planmeca Romexis software, gaining firsthand experience in:

  • AI-driven diagnostic tools
  • CBCT imaging integration
  • Digital treatment planning

AI in dentistry and periodontology

Dr Fahad Umer and Dr Ayesha Hanif delivered engaging lectures on artificial intelligence applications—from predictive diagnostics to automated periodontal analysis.

CBCT for routine practice

Dr Abbas Mehdi demonstrated the importance of cone-beam computed tomography in precise implant placement and complex case assessment.

Hands-on practice with planmeca romexis

Under the guidance of Dr Chander Kumar, Dr Romessa Abrar, and Dr Fatima Qazi, participants navigated Planmeca Romexis workflows. This practical segment strengthened attendees’ confidence in:
