TAXILA, RAWALPINDI: The Young Doctors Leadership Summit, in collaboration with the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Dental College Hitec-IMS, organized a workshop focused on '3D Diagnosis & Planning for Dental Implants' as a part of the YDLS Conference held on August 25th, 2024.
The workshop was conducted by facilitators including Prof Dr Irfan Shah, Principal, Dental College-HITEC IMS, Dr Uzair Luqman, Associate Professor HOD-OMFS, Islamic International Dental College, Dr Usman Ul Haq, HoD-OMFS, POF Hospital Wah Medical College, Dr Muzaffar Hussain Hashmi Qureshi, Oro-facial Orthopedic Consultant, University of California Los Angeles, USA, Dr Fatima Khattak, Senior Registrar-OMFS, and Dr Sadia Moin, Registrar-OMFS.
A total of 33 participants attended the workshop, representing institutions such as Khyber College of Dentistry Peshawar, Margalla College of Dentistry, Watim Dental College, AERO HOSPITAL, and Dental College HITEC-IMS.
The workshop targeted post-graduate residents of OMFS, Periodontists, operative dentists, general dentists, house officers, and final year BDS students.
The workshop featured interactive lectures covering critical considerations of anatomical structures, surgical techniques, complications associated with dental implants, and their management. Additionally, participants were given demonstrations on CBCT imaging and engaged in hands-on practice of implant placement using D2 bone simulators.
At the conclusion of the workshop, shields and certificates were distributed to both participants and facilitators. Each participant was accredited with 04 CME credit hours by the National University of Medical Sciences.
