KARACHI: The Altamash Institute of Dental Medicine (AIDM), in collaboration with the International Association of Dental Students (IADS), has launched the first-ever International Dental Research Program (IDRP) in Pakistan. This landmark initiative is set to redefine dental education and research by fostering global collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
The IDRP brings together renowned international dental experts, academicians, and students to share knowledge and engage in cutting-edge research. Participants benefit from expert-led lectures, hands-on clinical workshops, and interactive sessions designed to provide a deep understanding of modern dental practices. The program also includes collaborative group research projects, focusing on systematic review papers that aim to leave a significant academic impact on Pakistan's dental sector.
AIDM, known for its exceptional faculty and state-of-the-art facilities, is leading this initiative with the guidance of Dr. Naseer Ahmed, Vice Principal of Clinical Sciences and Head of the Research Board. Dr. Ahmed, a distinguished academician with numerous high-impact publications and research grants, ensures that the program meets international academic and clinical standards.
The program is further strengthened by the leadership of Shamim Ashraf, a dedicated student at AIDM and Coordinator for IDRP under the IADS SCORE team. With her extensive experience in organizing dental camps, workshops, and international events, she embodies the commitment to advancing dental education and research in Pakistan.
The initiative also emphasizes community outreach through dental camps targeting underserved populations. These camps not only provide essential care but also highlight the importance of oral health awareness.
