LAHORE: The Department of Oral Biology at Akhtar Saeed Dental College recently organised a one-day poster competition for first-year BDS students, highlighted the students' research skills and creativity.
The on-campus event was overseen by Dr Sharjeel Ahmed and Dr Kanza Nawadat.
The judging panel included Principal Dr Sabir Hussain, Dr Sadia Minhas (Head of the Department of Oral Pathology), and Dr Zenab Yaasir (Head of the Department of Dental Materials).
Students demonstrated keen enthusiasm, designing and presenting posters based on their research.
Poster topics ranged from “Incidence of Two-Root Canals Among Lateral Mandibular Incisors” to “Relation Between Palato-Gingival Groove and Periodontitis” and “Prevalence of Supernumerary Cusps in the Local Population.”
Dr Sabir Hussain provided insightful feedback, while judges evaluated the quality of the research and presentations.
After the presentations, each group answered questions from the judges. Certificates were awarded to participants, recognising their dedication and hard work.
