KARACHI – Metropolitan Commissioner and Karachi Medical & Dental College (KMDC) governing body’s vice chairman Samiuddin Siddiqui has set up a committee to review affiliation of KMDC with Karachi University.
A decision to this effect was taken at the 27th meeting of KMDC’s governing body held here at Civic Centre. It was attended, among others, by KMDC’s principal Prof Waqar Hussain Kazmi, Abdul Haseeb Khan, Prof Abbas Hussain, Dr Salma Kausar, Dr Qazi Khalid Ali, Prof Tahir Hussain and Dr Imran Samdani.
The committee formed to review KMDC’s affiliation with Karachi University has been asked to present its report within a month.
Discussing the meeting’s nine-point agenda, participants unanimously decided to fill all posts lying vacant in KMDC in consultation with Karachi Metropolitan Corporation’s finance department.
Mr Siddiqui also constituted a committee to provide funds to KMDC.
About promotions of KMDC’s officials, he said that departmental promotion committee will meet shortly.
