LAHORE: The de’Montmorency College of Dentistry (DCD), Lahore, held a rare and historic Convocation Ceremony 2026, bringing together graduates from 16 academic batches spanning 2010 to 2024 in a single large-scale academic event.
The convocation formally conferred Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degrees on graduates from multiple cohorts, marking one of the most significant ceremonies in the institution’s recent history and recognizing years of academic achievement and professional training in dental education.
Principal Prof. Dr. Nabeela Riaz welcomed graduates, their families, faculty members, and guests, congratulating the graduating students and highlighting the significance of the occasion. She announced that future convocations will be held every two years and emphasized the strong academic performance of DCD students in University of Health Sciences (UHS), Lahore examinations, while also calling attention to the need for a dedicated campus for the institution.
The ceremony was attended by Major General Prof. Dr. Nadeem Ahmed Rana as Chief Guest, who described his participation as a matter of pride as an alumnus of the college. Other distinguished guests included Prof. Dr. Nadia Naseem, Pro Vice-Chancellor UHS Lahore, Prof. Dr. Javed Akram, former Provincial Minister for Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Punjab, as well as Prof. Dr. Zahra Khanum and Prof. Dr. Asad Aslam.
During the event, Prof. Dr. Nadia Naseem administered the professional oath to the graduating dentists, while Prof. Dr. Javed Akram urged graduates to serve humanity with dedication, integrity, and compassion.
The convocation was organized under the leadership of Principal Prof. Dr. Nabeela Riaz with support from the Steering and Convocation Organizing Committees, including faculty members and administrative staff whose collective efforts ensured the smooth conduct of the ceremony.
The event concluded with the awarding of degrees and commemorative shields to distinguished guests, marking a milestone in the history of one of Pakistan’s leading dental institutions.
