HITEC-IMS College holds oral screening camps

TAXILA, RAWALPINDI: As many as 500 students benefited from an oral health awareness and screening camp organised by Dental College HITEC-IMS as part of its community service initiative at Nova City School in Wah Cantt.

The event, conducted by the college’s community dentistry department, was participated by faculty members and house officers.

Dr Maria Rabbani delivered a presentation on oral health, followed by free dental examinations for 500 students. Detailed reports on their oral health conditions were provided, and those in need of treatment were referred to HITEC Dental Hospital at discounted prices, ensuring access to necessary care.

The camp had a positive impact on students' awareness of oral health issues and treatment, reflecting the college’s commitment to continuing community service.

Similarly, the college’s community dentistry department held another dental camp at Government Associate College for Women, Taxila, to cater to the underserved people facing financial hardships and poor oral health literacy.

This community service initiative was aimed to raise awareness about oral hygiene and provide much-needed care to those with limited access to dental professionals.

The camp was conducted by faculty from various clinical and basic sciences departments, along with house officers.

Dr Maria Rabbani commenced the camp with a presentation on oral health, followed by free dental examinations and the provision of oral hygiene information to 400 patients.

Detailed reports on their oral health conditions were provided, and those requiring treatment were referred to HITEC Dental Hospital at discounted prices.
