LAHORE: Dr Ayyaz Ali Khan, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Institute of Advanced Dental Sciences and Research (IADSR), was recently admitted as a Dental Fellow (FDS) of Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (RCPS)(Glasg) after acquiring distinction as a dentist.
He has been fulfilling his responsibilities as an Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Pakistan Dental Association (JPDA). He did his Bachelors of Dental Surgery (BDS) from de Montmorency College of Dentistry and Masters in Epidemiology and Healthcare Planning from the University of Wales, Cardiff. Then in 2001, he obtained his doctorate (PhD) in Preventive dentistry from University College Cork, Ireland.
He has also been awarded fellowships by the Royal Society of Health (RCH) and the International College of Surgeons (ICS). He was also awarded the Membership of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners (FGDP) (UK) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England (now College of General Dental Practitioners).
According to Dr Khan, his most significant achievement in life was supervising and co-supervising 6 PhD and 26 M.Phil. students. They have now completed their degrees and have been serving all over Pakistan and abroad. He was also granted opportunities to represent Pakistan on numerous occasions at international forums.
