JAMSHORO: The Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS) Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department recently hosted a day-long workshop on the nuances of head and neck radiology, particularly emphasizing CT scan interpretation.

Led by Prof. Kashif Ali Channar and other experts in the field, the workshop aimed to highlight the role of radiology in oral and maxillofacial surgery.

As radiological images serve as basic elements in diagnosis and treatment planning, the workshop featured expert speakers from LUMHS's radiology department, Associate Professors Dr. Adnan Qureshi and Dr. Abid Sahito.

The workshop participants explored the modalities of interpreting radiological images essential for understanding the complexities in oral and maxillofacial surgery.

Through interactive sessions led by seasoned radiologists and instructors, the participants gained knowledge about interpreting radiological images of head and neck anatomy and pathology.

They were enlightened regarding foundational concepts of radiological interpretation, the identification of normal anatomy, and the recognition of various pathological conditions commonly encountered in oral and maxillofacial practice.

Discussions on advancements in imaging technology, especially CT scans plain and contrast, provided the participants with a thorough understanding of evolving practices in the field.
