Online Event Emphasises On ‘Primary Healthcare & Practice Of Dentistry’

The webinar was moderated by Dr Munawer, Assistant Prof., Department of Community Dentistry, LCMD.

Jinnah Sindh Medical University accredited the webinar for CME hours.

The theme of the session was ‘Primary health care and Practice in Dentistry.’

Dr Sidra Mohiuddin, Associate Prof. and Head of Department of Community and Preventive Dentistry, Ziauddin University, Dr Naseer, Head of Departement of Preventive Dentistry, Altamash Institute of Dental Medicine (AIDM) and Dr Saad Ahmed Khan, Dean Science, Dadabhoy Institute of Higher Education (DIHE).

Dr Sidra and Dr Naseer emphasised primary health care as a whole society approach to essential health services, wellbeing and needs of the individuals and making it affordable and accessible for the entire community.

Dr Saad accentuated the importance of technological advancement in Dentistry and its implementation in preventive care dentistry, which is one of the pivotal aspects in regards to primary healthcare.
