KARACHI – The Pakistan Dental Association (CC) led by Dr Saqib Rashid and his team have upgraded the PDA constitution to address issues of today the last constitution was made 16 years.
Dr Saqib who was given the mandate during the AGM meeting at the PDA conference on 28th January to amend and change the constitution and make it current for the smooth functioning of the Association.
The team comprising Dr Saqib Rashid, Dr Kefi Iqbal, Dr Mahmood Shah and Hashim Hasan took the challenge and after hectic efforts made the desired changes to bring the constitution at par with international standards. The upgraded constitution which is now available on PDA (CC) website will play a pivotal role in the growth and development of the dental profession in Pakistan.
The new constitution provides clear guidelines with regards to the working and formation of central council and its various branches. It also lays great emphasis on CDE, membership and accountability of the office bearers.
The new constitution will be open for review in 2018 to ensure that it stays current with the changing times.
