PDA Lahore hosts meeting at de’Montmorency College to address PHC challenges

LAHORE: The Pakistan Dental Association (PDA) Lahore organized an important meeting at de’Montmorency College of Dentistry to address the growing challenges faced by dental professionals regarding the Punjab Healthcare Commission (PHC). The session brought together representatives from young dental professionals, senior private practitioners, and academia to engage in a constructive dialogue on key regulatory and professional matters.

The meeting witnessed the participation of several distinguished dental professionals, including Prof. Nazia Yazdani, Prof. Nabeela Riaz, Prof. Sabir Hussain, Prof. Asif Ali Shah, Dr. Yawar Hayat (Medical Superintendent, Punjab Dental Hospital), Dr. Abdul Sattar (Former MS, Punjab Dental Hospital), Dr. Mustafa Ch., Dr. Imran Saleh, Dr. Asim Waheed, Dr. Asna Mustafa, Dr. Fawad Tariq, Dr. Ehsan ul Haq, Dr. Shahzad Iqbal, Dr. Asifa Iqbal, Dr. Noreen, Dr. Erum, Dr. Maimoona, and Dr. Kashif.

PDA Lahore expressed sincere gratitude to Prof. Nabeela Riaz, Principal, De’Montmorency College of Dentistry, for graciously hosting the meeting, and to Dr. Yawar Hayat, Medical Superintendent, Punjab Dental Hospital, for his valuable support in facilitating this important discussion.

A special note of appreciation was extended to the Living Legend, Prof. Nazia Yazdani, for her continued guidance, mentorship, and encouragement to the dental fraternity. Her insights were highly valued in shaping the roadmap for future collaboration and policy advocacy.

To ensure consistent follow-up and sustained progress, a dedicated committee was formed to monitor the discussed issues and coordinate subsequent actions with the relevant authorities and stakeholders.

PDA Lahore reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to the welfare, representation, and professional advancement of the dental community across Punjab, pledging continued efforts to strengthen cooperation between practitioners, institutions, and regulatory bodies.
