KARACHI: Public-sector dentistry in Sindh received a major boost as senior dental surgeon Dr. Kapal Dev Maheshwari was promoted to BS-19 and appointed Additional Chief Dental Surgeon at Dr. Ruth K M Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi, one of the country’s largest and most heavily burdened public hospitals.

The promotion crowns more than 20 years of uninterrupted government service. A graduate of Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (Class of 2003), Dr. Kapal Dev joined government service in 2004 and has remained posted at Civil Hospital Karachi throughout his career, witnessing and contributing to the expansion of its dental services over the years.
