Sindh government committed to provide better healthcare to public: Health Minister

Karachi: Minister for Health Sindh Dr Sikander Mandhro while inaugurating the 12th Health Asia and 1st Dental Asia International Exhibition and Conference 2016 at Expo Center Karachi said that monitoring of public sector hospitals and vertical programmes of health department are underway throughout the Sindh province to provide better health facilities to general public.

The three-day mega event will continue till September, 22, 2016. The event was organized by Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd with the supports federal & provincial ministers of health, PPMA and others. Dental Tribune is the media partner for the Dental Asia show.

Dr Mandhro said government is committed to improve overall condition of healthcare centers across the province and situation will be improved gradually with the passage of time. He said although there is no ideal situation exist in the province in provision of health and diagnostic facilities to people but health department is working to improve overall condition of health facilities throughout the province.

He said health Asia will generate substantial value for our health and pharma industry by driving further product innovation and deeper engagement in these specific markets. He said diminishing market access for foreign investment, coupled with a boom in hospital construction and highest growth rate in healthcare IT, has positioned Pakistan’s healthcare market as a first-choice market for medical device manufacturers, service providers, and dealers and distributors from across the globe.

The event brought together more than 50,000 healthcare professionals with more than 450 of the world’s leading healthcare suppliers, manufacturers and service providers, all under one roof, to present the latest innovations in healthcare and allied sectors.

12th Health Asia & Pharma Asia is showcasing latest innovations and technologies from more than 25 countries, over 350 foreign delegates are participating in the event, mainly from China, India, Singapore, France, Germany, Iran, Taiwan, UK, UAE, USA, Japan, Korea, Brazil, Ireland, Italy, Switzerland, etc. This mega exhibition has also brought together a series of more than thirty seminars, conference and workshops including 12 CME accredited seminars and workshops.

The exhibition is a premier heath sector event that encompasses all the major industries including pharma, healthcare manufacturers, practitioners, medical equipment providers, medical institutions, universities, hospitals clinic, labs, pharmaceutical products, instruments, accessories, raw material supplies, and allied services under one roof.
