Sir Syed College holds seminar on partial dentures, challenges

KARACHI: Sir Syed College of Medical Sciences organized a highly informative seminar on the intricacies of partial dentures and the challenges they pose by prominent prosthodontist Dr Beenish Mehtab, sharing her valuable insights on the subject.

The seminar held under the Continuing Dental Education (CDE) programme held at college’s dental section attracted a good number of audience including faculty members and students.

In her lecture, Dr Mehtab underscored the significance of meticulously choosing the appropriate partial denture solutions as per need of individual patients.

Emphasising precision and patient-centered care, she pointed out the complexities involved in this area of prosthodontics.

The lecture especially focused on significance of oral hygiene for the patients grappling with partial dentures, highlighting the need for both practitioners and patients to remain vigilant in maintaining oral health to avoid potential complications.

The college Principal Prof H R Sukhia and the administration lauded the efforts of the CDE committee in advancing oral healthcare in Karachi and raising awareness about oral health among the populace.

They hoped that through such collaborative endeavours, Karachi continues to take significant strides in the field of dental healthcare.
