LAHORE: The 40th meeting of the Administrative and Academic Advisory Committee (AAAC) was held at the University of Health Sciences (UHS) City Campus the other day, under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Professor Ahsan Waheed Rathore. The meeting brought together key administrative and academic leaders from across the university to discuss pivotal matters and make strategic decisions for the continued growth and development of the institution.
A significant portion of the meeting focused on a presentation about the UHS Experimental Research Lab. The proposal outlined plans to supply surplus laboratory animals, including mice and albino rats, to other universities and research organizations. This initiative aims to foster collaboration among institutions and enhance scientific research efforts across the academic community, while also optimizing the use of available resources within the UHS lab facilities.
Another major discussion point was the installation of cutting-edge audio and video equipment in various university halls and committee rooms. These spaces are frequently used for workshops, conferences, and meetings, and the planned upgrades will ensure a superior audio-visual experience. The enhancements are designed to facilitate better communication and engagement, supporting the university’s mission to promote high-quality academic and administrative activities.
In conclusion, the AAAC meeting resulted in decisions that will further strengthen UHS's research capabilities and enhance its infrastructure to support both academic and administrative functions effectively. These initiatives are part of the university’s ongoing commitment to advancing higher education and scientific research in the region.
