KARACHI: The Altamash Institute of Dental Medicine (AIDM) faculty members celebrated the Independence Day with traditional fervour on the 14th of August amid festivities.
The Independent Day event at AIDM featured a cake-cutting ceremony, and reiteration of the institute's commitment to produce responsible citizens and nurturing the future leaders of the nation.
In this address on the occasion, AIDM Principal Prof Dr Hasnain Sakrani, emphasising the significance of Independence Day in the context of education and personal growth and the institutes role in imparting not only dental education, but also nurturing the patriotism, unity, and the importance of contributing positively to society.
"Our commitment to education extends beyond the classroom, encompassing the holistic development of our students into responsible citizens who will lead and serve with integrity," remarked Sakrani.
The event featured vibrant cultural performances paying tribute to the diverse heritage of Pakistan, besides traditional songs showcasing rich tapestry of the nation's identity.
The event organised by AIDM Administrator Dr Resham Nadeem was attended by all the heads of departments, faculty members and house officers.
Prof Dr Ambreen Afzal, Dean Academic AIDM, and Prof Dr Naseer Ahmed, Head of Research Development & Review Cell were also present.
