LAHORE: The Community & Preventive Dentistry Department at Azra Naheed Dental College (ANDC) recently organized an informative session for 2nd Year BDS students, stressing the importance of oral hygiene.

At the event, plaque disclosing agents were used to visually demonstrate the accumulation of plaque within the oral cavity, which allowed students to precisely observe where plaque tends to build up.

This practical demonstration enhances the effectiveness of oral cleaning practices and raises awareness about maintaining optimal oral health.

The session underscored the importance of regular plaque identification and removal in preventing common dental issues such as cavities and gum disease.

Students were educated on proper brushing techniques essential for efficient plaque removal, ultimately promoting healthier teeth and gums.

By actively engaging students in this hands-on learning experience, the department continues to empower future dental professionals with knowledge and practical skills necessary for comprehensive dental care.
