Dental Students Raise Oral Hygiene Awareness Among Masses

Under the supervision of Dr Zaheer Hussain Chachar, Head of Department of Periodontology along with Dental House Officers and demonstrators visited a local orphanage and old age home, ‘My Home Orphanage and Old People’s Home.’

Dr Zaheer Hussain provided children and the elderly with guidance on methods of dental checkups and provide awareness on oral hygiene. A short presentation to the children and the present staff was also given. The patients were thoroughly examined and instructed with proper brushing techniques and ways to maintain healthy diets.

In the end, the children were gifted with a hamper full of toothpaste, toothbrushes, and toys. The event was carried out under strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and proper social distancing avoiding any close contact between the participants.
