Each year, the FDI World Dental Federation honors the incredible efforts of oral health advocates through the World Oral Health Day (WOHD) Awards. These awards celebrate individuals and organizations that go above and beyond in promoting oral health awareness on a global scale.

With the deadline for submissions on May 15, 2025, now is the perfect time to make your efforts count. Whether you're a dental professional, health organization, student group, or advocacy body, your work deserves to be seen and celebrated.

How to apply for the WOHD 2025 awards

To be eligible for the WOHD 2025 Awards, participants must follow a few essential steps:

✅ Step 1: Register and Submit Your Activity

• Visit the WOHD Map of Activities
• Create an account and submit your event or campaign details
• Only registered users can access the awards section (guest users are not eligible)

✅ Step 2: Complete the WOHD awards section

• After submission, log in again and click on the top right window to access the awards section
• Fill out all fields with as much detail as possible
• Highlight creativity, reach, community engagement, and health education

The more complete your entry, the greater your chances of winning!

Who decides the winners?

A special WOHD Working Group, composed of international oral health experts, will:

• Shortlist and review campaign submissions
• Vote on finalists in each category
• Notify winners by May or June 2025

Award recipients will be announced at a formal ceremony during the FDI World Dental Congress later this year, offering global exposure and credibility.
