ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar has announced the formation of a committee to address healthcare sector issues, focusing on assessing demand, ensuring quality education, and proposing policy measures.

Speaking at the convocation ceremony of HBS Medical and Dental College, Dar also underscored the Islamic values of altruism and the duty to strive for the welfare of others.

He called on healthcare professionals to remain dedicated to their noble profession, emphasizing the importance of compassion and empathy in serving those in need.

Highlighting the transformative potential within Pakistan, Dar lauded the nation's resilience in overcoming challenges. He recalled the economic turnaround achieved through decisive measures when the government faced a looming default upon taking office. Addressing aspirations to join the G20, Dar expressed optimism about Pakistan's evolving role on the global stage.

Acknowledging past obstacles, Dar lamented attempts by certain quarters to impede progress during the PML-N government's tenure.

Recognizing the role of the private sector in medical education, Dar underscored the importance of preparing the youth for future challenges through coordinated efforts. He expressed confidence in the bright future of Pakistan's healthcare system and encouraged new graduates to embrace their responsibilities. He reminded them of the profound significance of their chosen profession in saving lives, echoing the Islamic principle that "saving a life is like saving the entire humanity."
