Karachi: World Oral Health Day (WOHD) is celebrated yearly on March 20th. It is an international day to celebrate the benefits of a healthy mouth and to promote worldwide awareness of the issues around oral health and the importance of looking after oral hygiene to everyone old and young. 90% of the world’s population is affected by oral diseases in their lifetime, many of which can be prevented with increased governmental, health association and society support and funding for prevention, detection and treatment programs.

In continuation of our efforts for the last several years Dental News once again organize the World Oral Health Day 2016 in Pakistan.

Keeping up with the tradition Dental News Pakistan will be organizing the World Oral Health Day all over Pakistan in more than 17 cities of Pakistan sponsored by Shield Corporation and supported by FDI, APDF, Pakistan Dental Association and all the leading public and private sector dental colleges on 21st March 2016. The purpose as always will be to reach maximum people across Pakistan and take the message “Healthy Mouth, Health Body”.

WOHD 2016 aims to get everyone to recognize the impact their oral health has on overall physical health and wellbeing to help inspire this change. The theme for 2016, ‘’It all starts here. Healthy mouth. Healthy body’’.

This powerful and engaging messaging is rooted in a global truth of oral health’s wider importance, galvanizing the audience to drive a movement for change. The flexible platform gives the opportunity to discuss multiple topics and audiences under one core message.
