TAXILA: The Dental College HITEC-IMS Taxila, established in 2016, has emerged as a trusted center for high-quality oral healthcare and dental education, serving the workforce and families of Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT). As part of its ongoing commitment to community-focused services and medical excellence, the College has recently undertaken a major expansion of its clinical facilities and strategic reallocation of departments.

Expanded access through Dental Hospital Unit II

Historically, access to the College's services was limited for private patients from surrounding communities due to stringent security protocols. To address this gap, Dental Hospital Unit II has been established, comprising 26 fully equipped modern dental units. Located outside the primary security zone, this new unit ensures convenient, barrier-free access to dental care for the general public, while maintaining institutional security standards.

Advanced orthodontics and integrated care

The expansion also includes the launch of a state-of-the-art Orthodontics Department within the new hospital premises. This enables patients to receive specialized orthodontic care locally, eliminating the need to travel long distances. By housing advanced treatment facilities under one roof, HITEC-IMS is strengthening its position as a leading dental care provider in the region.

Strategic department reallocation for efficiency

Previously, the College’s clinical departments were dispersed across various locations, complicating coordination and patient flow. With the recent restructuring, departments have now been relocated into more accessible and functionally efficient spaces. This move is expected to:

  • Enhance coordination between departments
  • Optimize patient movement and comfort
  • Improve resource utilization and service delivery

The integrated clinical structure now enables patients to access a broad range of services more efficiently, promoting timely and comprehensive care.

Strengthening community service and regional leadership

This strategic development reflects HITEC-IMS's mission to serve not only HIT-affiliated families but also the wider population of Taxila and nearby areas. With modern facilities, better accessibility, and a focus on quality care, the College is paving the way for sustainable public oral healthcare while advancing its role in dental education and clinical training.
