When contacted the office of principal refused to comment and when Dr Salma Kauser was contacted she said that things are in final stages and soon the information will be shared.
Our sources have informed us that 90% work is complete to keep the college affiliated with Karachi University since it already has an affiliate hospital in the form of Abbassi Shaheed Hospital.
KMDC is Country’s first Medical College established and run by a Municipal Corporation. The college was founded with a vision to redefine standards of medical education by introducing a test based admission. KMDC denounces the quota system and self-financing schemes, and offers admission based solely on merit and aptitude. KMDC is renowned for its excellence in teaching and research that relates the profession of Medicine and Dentistry.
PMDC which is making changes without putting much thought into them created an upheaval when it stopped the Karachi University from affiliating any medical or dental colleges because it does not have any hospital of its own.
