LCMD hosts pioneering workshop on simulation-based education for health educators

KARACHI: The Liaquat College of Medicine and Dentistry (LCMD) is setting the stage for a groundbreaking workshop ahead of the 2026 CPSP International Medical Education Conference (IMECon-26). The pre-conference inaugural workshop, titled “Simulation-Based Education for Health Professions Educators,” will take place on January 10th, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at LCMD's Conference Room, bringing together healthcare educators and faculty members for an immersive learning experience in one of the most innovative areas of medical and dental education.

This pivotal workshop will focus on the transformative potential of simulation-based education (SBE) in improving the quality of healthcare training. Aimed at enhancing both teaching and learning practices, the session will cover the latest developments in simulation technology, including various types of simulations, fidelity aspects, and how to effectively incorporate clinical scenarios into educational curricula.

Leading experts to facilitate the workshop

The event will be led by Prof. Dr. Navid Rashid Qureshi, Principal and Professor of Dentistry at LCMD, alongside Prof. Dr. Tahera Ayub, Head of Oral Medicine and Oral Surgery, and Dr. Naheed Najmi, Vice Principal of LCMD. Additionally, Dr. Sabaa Shahid, Incharge of DHPE-COD, will serve as a co-facilitator, ensuring that the workshop delivers cutting-edge insights on simulation-based education.
