Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam: The Vietnam Odonto-Stomatology Association (VOSA) is going to organize an in-person continuing education session on "Periodontal and Peri-Implant Phenotype Modification Therapy" at the Vietnam International Dental Exhibition and Congress (VIDEC 2024) on August 21, 2024, in Ho Chi Minh City.
Dr. Alice Heng, a renowned periodontist recognized for her expertise in the field, will conduct the session, offering dental professionals an invaluable opportunity to enhance their clinical practice.
The session will cover effective mucogingival surgical interventions aimed at improving aesthetic outcomes, reducing dentin hypersensitivity, and addressing cervical lesions and thin gingival phenotypes.
Dr. Heng, who holds a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Malaysia, is a distinguished member of several prestigious organizations, including the Malaysian Society of Periodontology (MSP), the Malaysian Dental Association (MDA), the International Team for Implantology (ITI), and the Faculty of Dental Surgery of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MFDS RCSEd).
She earned her specialist degree in Periodontology (MClinDent) from the University of Malaya and currently practices at the Kota Setar Specialist Clinic in Kedah, Malaysia.
The continuing education program will address key topics such as mucogingival deformities and gingival recession—conditions affecting a significant number of patients.
