LAHORE: With the mission of creation of knowledge, providing platform for latest cutting-edge research, and networking, University of Health Sciences Lahore, is all set for the 1st UHS-International Dental Conference to take place from October 3rd to 5th, 2019. The conference themed “Collaborate. Innovate. Cure” will take place at Expo Center Lahore under the leadership of the Vice Chancellor and the Chairman Organizing Committee, Prof. Javed Akram. Dr Sarah Ghafoor is the Conference Secretary for the event.

Over 3000 participants from within and outside the country are expected to take part in the conference; these will include general dentists, clinicians, faculty members, postgraduate and undergraduate students. Speakers of international caliber will be gracing the event, representing countries including United Kingdom, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Brazil, Jordan etc

Along with the main conference theme, the conference has more than 14 sub-themes covering all faculties of clinical and basic dental research and all the Dental colleges in Punjab are co-organizers for this mega-event of Dentistry.

The conference will hold scientific sessions, oral and poster presentations, table clinics, pre- and post-workshops, dental art competitions from under- and post-graduate students and special session related to dental devises and materials and their regulatory affairs, oral systemic connection, curriculum reforms in dentistry and also guidelines for startup of a quality dental institute. The conference will hold a major trade exhibition managed by the Dental Trade and Manufacturers Association offering latest advances in dental equipment, devices, and also a book fair on dental and medical books.
