KARACHI: A one-day Basic Life Support (BLS) workshop was held at Altamash Institute of Dental Medicine (AIDM), equipping 1st to 4th-year BDS students with essential life-saving skills.

The event attracted a total of 104 participants, including house surgeons and AIDM faculty members.

Dr. Resham Nadeem and a dedicated team of volunteers coordinated the workshop which offered hands-on sessions covering crucial BLS techniques.

During the workshop, the participants engaged in comprehensive training that included CPR maneuvers and emergency response protocols, designed to instill confidence in managing critical situations.

The success of the workshop was attributed to the support and guidance from prominent figures in the field. Prof. Dr. Hasnain Sakrani, Prof. Dr. Naseer Ahmed, Prof. Dr. Altamash, and Dr. Shaheena Altamash also contributed to the event's smooth execution, showing their commitment to fostering a culture of preparedness and excellence within the dental community.

Emphasizing practical skills and collaborative learning, the BLS workshop not only equipped participants with invaluable knowledge but also showed the institute's dedication to holistic education and professional development.

The workshop participants will be able to save lives using the skills they learned.
