BDUC conducts case presentation of Final-Year students

KARACHI: The Bahria University Dental College (BUDC) Department of Orthodontics organized case presentation for its Final Year (Group B) BDS students as a part of their end rotation assessment.

The students were assigned individual cases which they presented to Assistant Professor Dr Arsalan Khalid, HOD of Oral Medicine, Senior Orthodontists Dr Omair and Registrar Orthodontics Dr Maliha Arshad.

Each student presented a case with its key aspects such as the patient’s history, clinical examination, diagnosis, problem list and the relevant treatment plan. The students were graded on the basis of their presentation skills and their diagnostic knowledge of orthodontic cases.

The evaluators awarded best presentation title to Khezran Zehra, while Eesha Hameed was the runner-up.

The session was aimed at enhancing the students’ communication skills and correlate their subject knowledge with problem identification, using diagnostic aids.

The certificates were awarded to the students by Dr Arsalan Khalid.
