QUETTA: A significant seminar titled "Empowering Tomorrow's Clinician Leadership for Dental Surgeons" was held at Bolan Dental College (BDC), marking a new chapter in professional development for dental surgeons in Balochistan.

The event featured an inspiring keynote address by Dr. Agha Muhammad Raza, a highly respected dental surgeon, academician, and the current Chairperson of Microbiology at Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS), Quetta. Dr. Raza holds a BDS, a PhD in microbiology, and a Master of Health Professions Education (MHPE) from the Aga Khan University—a rare combination that reinforces his authority and expertise in dental education and leadership.

Addressing a hall full of Heads of Departments and faculty members of BDC, Dr. Raza emphasized the critical role of leadership skills and vision in shaping the future of dental practice. He called on the dental community in Balochistan to embrace technological advancements, stay updated with global trends, and adopt innovative practices to improve patient outcomes.

A key highlight of his speech focused on the integration of soft skills into clinical settings. Dr. Raza explained how effective leadership, communication, and team collaboration can significantly enhance decision-making and elevate the overall patient experience—a core aspect of modern healthcare delivery.

Prof. Nasrullah Mengal, Principal of BDC, thanked Dr. Raza for his insightful session and announced a series of similar lectures to be held regularly in the future.
