KARACHI: The Students Scientific Committee at Liaquat College of Medicine and Dentistry (LCMD) recently hosted a highly successful Poster Designing Workshop for BDS 2nd and 3rd-year students at the LCMD Auditorium. This event aimed to equip students with the essential skills required to create impactful and professional scientific posters.

Dr. Araib, a distinguished expert in visual communication and scientific poster design, led the workshop with an engaging and informative approach. The session focused on the core elements of designing academic posters, such as layout, effective use of visuals, and how to present complex scientific concepts in a clear and concise manner.

The workshop's primary goal was to provide students with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in designing research posters that are visually appealing and academically relevant. The students gained valuable insights on how to effectively communicate their research findings through compelling visuals and concise messaging, preparing them for future academic presentations and professional events.

The workshop was meticulously coordinated by Dr. Arifa Haque and Dr. Samreen Malik, whose efforts ensured smooth execution and active student participation. Their commitment to making the session both educational and interactive helped create a productive learning environment. Students had the opportunity to ask questions and receive immediate feedback on their poster designs, further enhancing their skills.

The event received overwhelmingly positive feedback from the participants, with many students expressing that the workshop not only boosted their confidence in poster design but also enhanced their understanding of visual communication in academic settings. This session proved to be a valuable experience, providing students with skills they can use throughout their academic careers and beyond.

As part of LCMD’s ongoing commitment to providing quality educational experiences, this workshop reflects the institution's dedication to fostering well-rounded healthcare professionals. The ability to effectively communicate research is an essential skill, and LCMD continues to provide opportunities for students to excel in both academic and professional domains.
