PDA-Karachi launches exclusive webinar series for dental professionals

KARACHI: The Pakistan Dental Association (PDA) Karachi Chapter has announced the launch of the PDA-Karachi Webinar Series, a focused online educational initiative designed exclusively for dental professionals. The series, being organized in collaboration with Dental News Pakistan and LCMD, will officially begin on Thursday, September 11, 2025, with sessions to be held live on Zoom and recorded access also available for participants.

The initiative aims to provide continuing dental education with expert-led sessions by renowned professors, associates, and clinical specialists, offering practical insights to elevate skills in modern dentistry. Participants will also be awarded exclusive e-certificates upon completion.

Inaugural session

The first webinar will feature Prof. Dr. Navid Rashid Qureshi, Principal of the College of Dentistry at LCMD and President of PDA Karachi. He will deliver a session on “Unlocking the Secrets of Extraction” at 10:00 AM (PST | GMT+5) on Thursday, September 11, 2025. The opening lecture is expected to provide participants with advanced techniques and clinical wisdom from one of the country’s most respected dental leaders.

Second webinar

Following the launch, the second webinar is scheduled for Sunday, September 21, 2025, at 9:00 PM. It will be conducted by Prof. Dr. Arshad Hasan, Head of Operative Dentistry & Endodontics at Dow Dental College, DUHS. His session will focus on “Composite Restorations Made Easy”, offering practical approaches to simplify one of the most essential restorative procedures in dentistry.

The PDA-Karachi Webinar Series will continue with more specialized sessions, with dates to be announced soon:

• “Mastering Canine Crown Preparation: A Clinical Roadmap” by Dr. Sameer Quraeshi, Associate Professor & HOD Prosthodontics, Vice Principal, Fatima Jinnah Dental College.

• “Treatment of Gummy Smile: An Orthodontic Perspective” by Prof. Dr. Irfan Qamaruddin Adnani, Professor & Head of Orthodontics, Jinnah Sindh Medical University.

A new era of learning

Describing the initiative as a “new era of dental learning”, PDA-Karachi emphasized that the series will allow practitioners to learn from legends in the field, gain insights beyond textbooks, and sharpen clinical skills.

The association has encouraged dental professionals from across Pakistan and abroad to register early to secure participation in this transformative online learning experience.
