ASH’s house officers’ salary issue resolved

KARACHI- Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) administrator Saqib Soomro has directed concerned officials to pay the six months salary to the house job doctors and postgraduate students of Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH).

The administrator took this decision when a delegation of house officers and postgraduate students of ASH called on him at his office to complain that they have been deprived of their salary although they had completed their 15-month training.

Mr Soomro ordered the concerned officials to pay their six months’ salary immediately and the salary of remaining months before June.

KMC’s medical and health services’ senior director Dr Salma Kausar and financial adviser Afaq Saeed were also present at the meeting.
