KARACHI- With the detection of 37 more dengue viral fever cases in the last week, the number of patients afflicted with the disease has jumped to 701 in Karachi alone since Jan 1, 2015.
A report issued by Sindh Dengue Prevention and Control Programme said that of the total 727 dengue fever cases reported in Sindh since January 2015, 701 were detected in Karachi, while remaining cases were reported from other parts of the province.
Three people have, so far, died from dengue fever in city this year, the sources added.
In addition to this, around 30 dengue fever cases were reported from Balochistan in 2015.
