In a bold move to modernize dental education in Pakistan, HBS Dental College has launched a transformative 4-day Digital Dentistry Bootcamp at Chughtai Dental Studios, placing its students at the forefront of cutting-edge clinical technology.

The program, carefully designed to integrate theory with hands-on practice, immersed participants in the full spectrum of digital dentistry—from intraoral scanning and digital impressions to CAD/CAM design and 3D printing workflows. Students experienced real-world simulations, gaining practical skills that are rapidly becoming standard in global dental practice.

Under the visionary leadership of Chairman Dr. Riaz Shahbaz Janjooa, CEO Dr. Jameela Riaz, and Principal Prof. Dr. Shazia Nawabi, the bootcamp emphasized experiential learning and clinical problem-solving, ensuring graduates are not only familiar with tools but confident in applying them in practice. Academic coordination by Dr. Sana Tariq and strategic guidance by Rashid Chughtai allowed the curriculum to balance conceptual understanding with applied digital workflow mastery.

Participants rotated through four parallel digital stations, exploring scanning accuracy, digital prosthetic planning, virtual treatment simulation, and 3D fabrication, culminating in a capstone session where they executed end-to-end digital workflows. The program’s facilitators—including Drs. Hassam, Talha, Hadi, Umair, and Faisal—ensured active engagement and real-time decision-making experience, reinforcing both technical proficiency and clinical confidence.

The initiative reflects HBS Dental College’s broader strategy to prepare future dentists for a technology-driven profession. By embedding students in immersive digital workflows, the college is cultivating graduates who can navigate AI-assisted diagnostics, guided prosthetics, digital smile design, and chairside fabrication—skills essential for leading dentistry into the next decade.

Dean Prof. Arshad Malik praised the administration, faculty, and coordinators for their dedication, highlighting that the bootcamp sets a benchmark for dental education in Pakistan. HBS’s approach demonstrates a clear commitment: to produce clinicians who are digitally literate, clinically competent, and ready to shape the future of dentistry.
