KARACHI- Ziauddin Hospital with a view to providing treatment facilities to the victims of searing heat had imposed emergency at its Clifton, North Nazimabad and Keamari centres.
Moreover, doctors, paramedics and nurses provided round-the-clock treatment to the heatstroke patients at Ziauddin Hospital’s North Nazimabad center.
According to a press release, of around 1,800 heatstroke patients, who visited Ziauddin Hospital’s emergency services, 61 could not survive as they were brought to the hospital in a critical condition, while about 1,100 patients were discharged after providing them treatment.
“More than 550 patients were provided free and subsidized treatment at all the centres of the hospital,” the press release added.
