KARACHI: With a view to make authentic oral health information more accessible to the individual suffering from hearing impairment, The Pakistan Association for the Deaf (PAD), in collaboration with Martin Dow and Fatima Jinnah Dental College, has compiled a comprehensive book -- the Pakistan Sign Language Book for Dentistry.
This invaluable resource book was launched during the 14th Pakistan Conference on Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, adding an extra layer of significance to the event held at the College of Physicians and Surgeons Karachi.
A collaborative effort between Martin Dow and Fatima Jinnah Dental College, the book as been compiled by the dedicated team at the Pakistan Association for the Deaf.
"We extend our heartfelt congratulations to everyone involved in making this initiative a reality," says a PAD message on the book launch. "This is a significant step forward in promoting inclusivity and equal access to dental education and healthcare for the deaf population."
This initiative not only reflects the commitment of PAD, Martin Dow, and Fatima Jinnah Dental College to inclusivity and accessibility, but also marks a milestone in healthcare education. With this resource, the deaf community will have enhanced access to dental knowledge, empowering them to make informed decisions about their oral health.
The PAD encourages everyone to spread the word about this significant achievement. By doing so, we can collectively make a positive impact in the field of dentistry and beyond, promoting inclusivity and equal access to education and healthcare for all.
