ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Dental Association (PDA) has officially announced the new office bearers for its Balochistan Chapter, marking a significant step towards enhancing oral healthcare in the province. On the recommendation of the President of PDA Balochistan, the PDA Central Council has confirmed the leadership team that will steer the chapter’s initiatives forward.
Newly Appointed PDA Balochistan Chapter Office Bearers:
- Dr. Fazal-Ur-Rehman Babar – Senior Vice President
- Dr. Waseem-uz-Zaman – General Secretary
- Dr. Muhammad Babar – Information Secretary
- Dr. Saima Sumbal – Finance Secretary
With this new leadership, the PDA aims to strengthen dental healthcare services, address the unique challenges of oral health accessibility in Balochistan, and create more opportunities for professional collaboration among dentists in the province.
Expanding Oral Healthcare in Balochistan
Balochistan, Pakistan’s largest province by area, faces significant challenges in dental healthcare infrastructure due to its vast and remote geography. Many communities struggle with limited access to professional dental services, making the role of the PDA Balochistan Chapter crucial in bridging the gap between healthcare providers and the population.
The Pakistan Dental Association has reaffirmed its commitment to:
✅ Improving access to dental care through awareness programs and outreach initiatives.
✅ Advocating for better healthcare policies to support dental professionals in Balochistan.
✅ Encouraging young dentists to actively contribute to the profession.
✅ Enhancing collaboration between public and private sectors to uplift oral healthcare standards.
Speaking on the development, Dr. Khurshid Ahmad, President of the PDA Central Council, expressed his confidence in the newly appointed leadership:
"The Pakistan Dental Association remains committed to strengthening oral healthcare across the country, and the appointment of these outstanding professionals for our Balochistan Chapter is a testament to that vision. Dr. Fazal-Ur-Rehman Babar and his team bring remarkable dedication, expertise, and leadership to the table. Their contributions will be instrumental in overcoming the unique challenges faced by dental professionals and communities in Balochistan. We look forward to seeing their efforts drive positive change and enhance dental healthcare accessibility in the region. PDA Central will extend its full support to ensure their success."
With a strong leadership team in place, the PDA Balochistan Chapter is expected to play a pivotal role in advancing oral health awareness and ensuring quality dental care services reach underserved communities across the province.
