KARACHI: Ziauddin College of Dentistry (ZDC) BDS Student Council, in collaboration with the Department of Oral Medicine and Diagnosis, recently held a captivating video documentary competition for 3rd-year BDS students (Batch 13).
Eight groups of students participated in the contest, presenting insightful videos on various dental diseases.
The judging panel included Mr. Adeel Azhar, host of Mera FM's morning show; Dr. Sidra Mohiuddin, Head of the Department of Community Dentistry; and Dr. Sarwat Memon, Head of the Department of Orthodontics.
The BDS Student Council, led by President Mehar Lodhi, Vice President Dua Siddiqui, and General Secretary Laiba Rashid, was commended for organizing the event.
Special recognition was also given to Dr. Afifa Razi and the Department of Oral Medicine for empowering students to showcase their creative talents.
Principal Prof. Wahab Kadri concluded the event by awarding Rs10,000 to the winners and Rs5,000 to the runners-up.
Mr Kadri praised the efforts of the Student Council and the Department of Oral Medicine, emphasizing the importance of promoting such initiatives to encourage students’ engagement and learning.
