MULTAN: The tragic demise of a young promising dental student, Adan Talal, in a devastating road accident in Multan has left his family and others, especially the members of medical and dental fraternity, in a sock. He was 25.
The incident was particularly devastating for the medical community as Adan was son of two senior dental academics and professionals. His father, Dr Amjad Bari, is Principal and Head of the Periodontology Department at Nishtar Institute of Dentistry (NID), and his mother, Dr. Naghma Parveen, is NID Vice Principal and heads its Operative Dentistry Department.
Adan was doing his dental house job in China and arrived here to attend his elder brother’s wedding just 12 hours before the tragic accident.
As per family sources, on Jan 3 morning, he was on his way to meet his friends when his car overturned while avoiding a dog, leaving Adan with critical brain injury that proved fatal.
He was rushed to the Nishtar Hospital Multan, where despite best efforts of doctors he succumbed to his brain injury.
His Namaz e Janaza was held at the Jamia Masjid, Nishtar Medical University, Multan, attended by people from different walks of life, especially a large number of members of dental community.
Countless people took to social media to express their condolences and profound grief over this tragic loss.
The thoughts of entire team at Dental News and JPDA are with the bereaved family of the deceased at this difficult time.
