ASDC students shine at LMDC clinical case, research contest

LAHORE: Lahore Medical and Dental College (LMDC) hosted its prestigious Clinical Case Presentation and Research Contest 2024 on October 31, showcasing exceptional talent from across the dental education landscape. Among the standout participants were first-year BDS students from Akhtar Saeed Dental College (ASDC), guided by Dr. Sharjeel Ilyas, Head of the Oral Biology Department, and his dedicated team.

The competition featured an intense evaluation of research posters and oral presentations by a distinguished panel of judges, including Prof. Dr. Ayaz Ali Khan, Prof. Dr. Nazia Yazdani, and Prof. Dr. Zayma. The judges praised participants for their innovative research, presentation finesse, and depth of knowledge, particularly impressive given their early academic stage.

ASDC's students made a mark by clinching second place in the oral presentation category, outshining seasoned competitors from renowned institutions across Lahore. Muhammad Abdullah and Fizza Amjad, first-year students, delivered a stellar performance that highlighted their research acumen and presentation prowess.

This remarkable achievement underscores ASDC’s commitment to fostering academic excellence, research-driven learning, and professional growth. The institution proudly supports such platforms, recognizing their vital role in shaping well-rounded dental professionals.
