KARACHI, Pakistan: The Asian Pacific Endodontic Confederation (APEC) has successfully wrapped up its 22nd Scientific Congress, held throughout August 2023. The prestigious event attracted leading experts and clinicians from around the world, with a primary focus on new developments in the field of endodontics, to maintain dental health.

Representing Pakistan for the first time on the APEC stage, Dr Fahad Umer, Assistant Professor at Aga Khan University Hospital, Dr Umer gave presentation on "Artificial Intelligence in Teeth and Periapical Pathology Detection", highlighting not only the success of Pakistani endodontists, and its growing significance in the country's dental landscape.

The month-long event provided a global platform for experts and clinicians to engage in discussions about cutting-edge advancements and emerging trends in endodontics.

Dr Umer's presentation symbolised the progress made by the Pakistan Association of Operative Dentistry and Endodontics (PAODE) in elevating the visibility and stature of Pakistani endodontics regionally.
